BIOGRAPHY
Over the past 20 years, Chad has been performing in a number of original projects as well as international touring tribute acts. As owner and operator of Khaos Studios in Seattle, has produced over 200 bands since it's opening. Some names have included Ben Shepherd and Matt Cameron of Soundgarden, Matt Chamberlain, Duff McKagan and more...
Original projects have included progressive rock band Ashland, Harbor, Hardison and a number of guest apperacnces and side projects. In the tribute world, currently plays the role of John Paul Jones in "The Led Zeppelin Experience", Ronnie James Dio in "Rising" spanning Ronnie's career in Rainbow, Black Sabbath and Dio and Bruce Dickinson in Iron Maiden tribute "Maiden Seattle". In the early 2000's, played the role of Geddy Lee in the Rush tribute "Vital Signs", on bass, vocals and keyboards.
Chad returns to teaching offering BASS lessons and for the first time ever, VOCAL lessons. With 7 years of opera training under the tutelage of the late Maestro David Kyle, Chad brings a unique teaching style to the table. This method combines the theory and techniques of Kyle, who was a student of Enrico Rosati (teacher of the great Benimino Gigli and Mario Lanza), the Italian Bel Canto technique and teachings of Mario Marafioti (medical advisor and laryngologist) of the great Enrico Caruso.
Chad splits his time living and working between Seattle and Los Angeles.

Recently relocated to Los Angeles, Chad McMurray has owned and operated Khaos Studios in Seattle, WA for the past 12 years. Though mainly a rocker, he has studied opera voice technique, jazz and classical. Chad has worked with, produced and mixed hundreds of bands in Seattle including Ben Shepherd’s (Soundgarden) solo album “HBS/In Deep Owl” which featured Matt Cameron (Soundgarden, Pearl Jam) and Matt Chamberlain (Tori Amos, David Bowie, Pearl Jam), Walking Papers with Duff McKagan (Guns N Roses, Velvet Revolver), Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees, Mad Season) and the recent release of 80’s rockers Autograph’s album, “Get Off Your Ass”. Additionally he has collaborated on compilations such as Basment Sessions Volumes 3 & 4 featuring Matt Pike (High On Fire), Jack Endino and the Eddie Spaghetti benefit featuring, Mudhoney, Zeke, Supersuckers and more. Chad lives and breathes music whether performing, writing, or in the studio bringing the most out of his clients.
